PREVENTION: STAYING HEALTHY FOR ANIMALS LIKE DOGS, CATS, AND HORSES

Avoid, delay, make less likely. There is one thing we would like to do exactly that – for our animals too: diseases. Ideally, they never occur in the first place. The same goes for discomfort or stress.

This means: doing something to prevent something else from happening. And now for the good news: It is quick and simple. Karin Link, equine sports therapist, and Tanja Klawuhn, animal therapist, will show you how.

The Beosigner® used preventively for sport horses

We spoke with therapist Karin Link about the topic of prevention in animals. Read here what she had to say on the subject.

Ms. Link, how do you use the Beosigner® preventively in your work?

I have a basic program for young animals, especially young horses. It is important to me that the animal is able to regulate itself and that it is resilient.

What does this basic program look like?

The program consists of a few acupuncture points. I first vitalize the Bai-Hui point for ten minutes, then the thymus gland for five minutes. Finally, I work on the neck. There, I either focus on the area between the ears on the occiput or I vitalize the area in a fan-like motion, using sweeping movements.

And What exactly do these points achieve?

The body can handle overload or injuries better when it is actively engaged in self-regulation. I observe faster healing and recovery. This is the same for animals as it is for humans.

When Regeneration is also Prevention

"No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle." (Winston Churchill) So, give your horse's back special attention to keep it that way. Animal therapist Tanja Klawuhn discusses in the video the back, as well as tendons and ligaments in the legs. Double benefit: what contributes to regeneration also has a preventative effect. The Beosigner® is used when something has happened – and at the same time helps to prevent new issues from arising easily.

And What about dogs, cats, or other animals?

The acupuncture points mentioned here can be found in all mammals. More or less at the same locations – though this can vary slightly depending on body structure and size. For more detailed information, you can consult animal therapists or search online.

We also warmly invite you to join our free digital workshops. Follow us on social media, where we announce new dates in advance. In the workshops, you will meet animal therapists who will be happy to answer your questions.
