We need both in our lives. Without one, it will eventually become boring, without the other we will almost certainly fall ill at some point. Bore-out is one extreme, burn-out the other. There is an ideal mix of tension and relaxation for everyone. Finding this personal mix is not always easy. Many of us have a tightly-scheduled everyday life, plus harmful environmental influences, perhaps from contaminated food. As a result, we feel drained, tired and listless. We know that relaxation exercises, for example, would be good for us – if it weren’t for our inner bastard. Or we have real health problems such as pain or difficulty concentrating.
